Never Had a Bad Day Remembering Erik LomisNever Had a Bad Day Remembering Erik Lomis“ You must judge a man’s greatness by how much he will be missed. ” — Will RogersMet Erik in 1977—he played on the golf team and I played on the baseball team— became lifelong friends. Erik was the best Nine Ball Pool Player at Philadelphia Textile. I was his Banker (which meant I would collect his winnings as I never had any money). Erik always divided winnings 50/50 so I always had spending money throughout college. Just the type of guy he was. Ironically, I have been in banking the last 40 years! Thank You My Brother for showing me the way. You are The Best! —Ken AndreozziThere are too many stories to tell and not enough space to tell them. There are a few Lomis-isms that will never get old. Everyone is familiar with “never had a bad day, kid” but “Johnnie Blue” and “Louis Tres” will forever have Erik’s voice attached to them. The words that mean the most to me, though, are the words that we always said to each other every time we would finish our phone calls. Without fail, those words were “love you, man”. Miss you and love you, Lome. Then, now, and forever. —Chris AronsonSeñor Lomis, Thank you for all the stories, the laughter, and the lessons. It was an honor to work along your side, but it was a greater honor to be your friend. —Patty AscenciónErik was a larger than life character who always brought a smile to my face whenever we spoke. The stories we shared together were so memorable and legendary, that I still laugh at many of them to this day. I was lucky to share some of the best moments with Erik and will never forget his unbridled joy when his beloved Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2018. We witnessed history together at Belmont when American Pharoah won the Triple Crown. Erik was loved by everyone who knew him. —Gary BarberNext >
